Welcome! |
|
We are all volunteers ready to help our neighbors. We respond to 911 fire and medical emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. In 2010, WVFR hit the road 620 times responding to 9-1-1 emergency calls. While a decrease of 13% compared to 2009, it’s more than double the number of calls experienced in 2001 ( 283 dispatches.) It’s also over 50% of all the 9-1-1 for the entire county. Although our primary responsibility is Washington, VA and its surrounding areas, we help other companies when needed. This web site shows you: · What we do and our operations - including a photo gallery; · Our newest tanker for which we continue to fund-raise. · How you can support us in many different ways from donating your time, renting our hall for your function, buying our fund-raiser CD, and more. · Upcoming events such as breakfasts, fund-raiser dinners & meetings. · Lots and lots of pictures: selected pictures in our mini-galleries and more pictures in those unabridged collections HERE. 2011 Pictures! |
