Helping Our Neighbors in Emergencies

Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue

A group photo of some of our members taken in March 2008

Welcome!

We are all volunteers ready to help our neighbors.

We respond to 911 fire and medical emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. In 2007, we responded to 653 calls for the Rappahannock 911 system (496 medical calls and 157 fire calls.) Although our primary responsibility is Washington, VA and its surrounding areas, we help other companies when needed.

This web site tells you about:

· What we do and our operations - including a photo gallery;

· Our new tanker for which we are actively fund-raising; our for sale tanker.

· How you can support us in many different ways.

· Upcoming events. Our next fundraiser dinner is on October 25, 2008.
